The Art of Writing

Writing in any language is a challenging task, hence writing essays in English language is not an exception. To write a descriptive essay, narrative essay, expository essay or even an argumentative essay or engage in a research to produce an academic document, a language learner or user should have mastered the basic grammatical rules first. 

person writing on white paperThe interesting aspect of any kind of essay is the degree of creativity in sentence structures and conformity in the rules of grammar of the target language employed in the essay. The grammatical rules of English language is both flexible and complex, yet it allows an English language user to create meaningful grammatical range of sentences from the existing rules. For example, the sentence; "Henry is a bullet". This singular sentence can mean "Henry is fast" or Henry is quick in everything". Rigidity of grammatical rules is not a characteristics of English language. The creative and flexible employment of different meaningful sentences and grammatical structures in the art of essay writing underlies the truth that the process of essay writing in English language is both interesting and challenging.
